Our Job Explorer Style

For job explorers who strive for meaningful employment, Catalyst is the social innovation that focuses on pulling out individual hidden strengths and skills, rather than comparative assessments. Unlike traditional employment services that focus on fitting people into structured programs or existing job descriptions, Catalyst matches job explorer’s talents, interests and work habits to creative employment possibilities. Our commitment is to building a unique path to employment for each and every person that we work for.

Accessing Job Explorer Services

You are able to access Catalysts services if you:
  • self-identify as a person with a disability
  • aged 15 - 30​
  • are motivated and ready to work
 
Catalyst does not require medical proof of disability. Job explorers may have physical, visible, and/or invisible disabilities (such as anxiety, depression or learning disabilities), and/or medical  barriers to employment.

Catalyst:  School to Work (age 15-21)

The number one indicator of successful labour market attachment for people with a disability, upon graduation from school, was having a paid job while in school” – Improving Post-High School Outcomes for Transition Age Students with Disabilities (2013).
 
Catalyst believes in developing work skills from a young age. Therefore we work alongside school districts and families to provide our services to youth is high school to develop work skills through after school and summer employment.
